Donald Winnicott said, ³If what I say has truth in it, it will already have been dealt with by the world¹s poets, but flashes of insight that come from poetry cannot absolve us from the painful task of getting step by step away from ignorance toward our goal.²  Our goal is to embody our spirit, to love and be loved.  In this seminar we will look at three different poems written by three different poets that give us insights into that goal. We will also examine the ³painful² and joyful therapeutic process of reaching that goal.

The workgroup on "shock and trauma" of the Southern German Association for Bioenergetic Analysis developed an own approach on trauma treatment based on the several trauma concepts in Bioenergetic Analysis, which were developed in the last decades. The new approach will be presented and demonstrated by some bioenergetic exercises, which are useful in the work with traumatized clients.

The purpose of this work, theoretical and experimental, is the reflection on the aging processes, thinking them as singular and vital processes. It is the result of my personal and professional with the Bioenergetic Analysis. It is also the result of my master degree research on this subject.

The study with 16 fathers from different social classes, who care of their children, since childhood till adolescence, without the presence of mothers, in Rio de Janeiro, showed that the pleasure of daily care of children further the gender "disarmoring" of masculinity.
